Enjoying Evenings at the Beach
Evening can be a magical time on the beach as the day winds down, and a quiet peace comes over everything. The hustle-bustle of daytime activity ends. Whereas during the middle of the day, there is a high energy that lifts everyone, the evening has a mellowness to it. Folks come to the sand for one more stroll along the sandy shores. They bring their dogs and toss balls. And sometimes, they just come to gaze out at the water, the boats and the occasional sailboat race.
There’s something more laid back about the evenings at the beach.
I love to sit on the beach in the evening as the sky begins to turn an amazing array of colors — blues and purples and pinks. Sometimes I bring a book and read while the kids get a little more sandcastle building in. But other times, I just sit and watch and observe. Either way, it’s a great way to quietly unwind. While I adore the energy of midday on the beach, the evening is special too.
