Book Review: Kissed in Paris

It’s been a few weeks since I last shared a book review of a potential beach read. Fortunately, I have an awesome on to tell you about today. You’re going to want to read this one very soon.

On the hottest of August days, sitting by the sea is such a welcome relief from the humidity and heat. And while you’re there, a sultry, nail-biting read can be just the thing for a fabulous beach day. No, I am not going to go all Grey on you here … Not my style. Instead, let me introduce Kissed in Paris by Juliette Sobanet.

This book follows the story of 29-year-old Chloe Turner, an event planner who is about to be married when her boss sends her on a last minute trip to Paris for an event. The whole thing gives her plenty of time to take the trip and return home to deal with any last-minute wedding details. But on her last day there, Chloe awakes to find her luggage, passport and everything else she had missing — along with her clothes. All that’s left is a cheesy red dress. Soon the police want to question Chloe, and are displeased with her answers. Meanwhile, she struggles to remember just what happened with Claude, the Frenchman who led her to bed the night before (did they sleep together?!?) and meets Julien, another Frenchman who says he is undercover and attempting to capture Claude — but needs her to not go to the police. With the police after her and no money, passport or anything else, can she make it home for the wedding? And what about the electric moments with Julien?

This story had those addictive points that makes it hard to put down or walk away from. Between the vivid writing, great storyline, suspense and heartwarming moments, it has it all. And a sexy Frenchman too. I didn’t just like this book, I fell head-over-heels in love with it.

Get this book and hit the beach. It’s so worth it.
