Ready to get started on 30 Days to a Better You? Well, we’re kicking this month off with a bang.
Do something that scares you.
Today, while you are all pumped up about starting 30 Days to a Better You, do something outside your comfort zone. It could be talking to your manager about your career aspirations, joining a new club or group, cold-calling a dream client, sending a query about that essay that makes you queasy to think of every sharing or even asking that cute guy out for drinks.
Just do it, and don’t look back or second guess yourself.
I know, it sounds odd — maybe even a little terrifying — to start a life betterment month with something like this, but trust me: it’s worth it. While doing something that scares you is, well, scary, it’s also empowering. It builds resilience when you do that scary thing, and live to tell the tale. And it can open up a whole new world of experiences.
So, what should you do? Choose something that will conquer a fear, advance your personal or professional life or just fulfill a little dream.
Inspired Journaling: Take your #30Days a little further by journaling your experience. Once you’ve done your something, get out your 30 Days to a Better You journal and write about what you did. Also, consider how doing it made you feel. Did you enjoy it? Was it exciting and fun? Would you like to do that something again? Do this every day, and you will be able to look back and see how far you’ve come.
