Planning a Philadelphia trip? There are so many Philadelphia hotels to choose from. Take a peak inside the Sheraton Philadelphia Society Hill Hotel, located a short walk from historic sites.

Philadelphia is a city steeped in culture, history and tradition. From Franklin Square to the Liberty Bell to Love Park, there is so much to see and do while visiting the City of Brotherly Love. History buffs will love Independence Hall, the Betsy Ross House and Valley Forge National Park. Museum lovers will delight in the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Penn Museum and the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. And for food lovers? Well, there’s so much to love there.

But where should you stay on your Philadelphia trip? That’s always the tough question — you want somewhere cozy and comfy, but location matters too. The Sheraton Philadelphia Society Hill Hotel offers both. This Philadelphia hotel is located a short walking distance from Liberty Bell and other historic Philadelphia sites. In fact, while wandering in search of lunch we stumbled upon Franklin Court, which includes an underground museum, replica print shop and working U.S. post office.

I’d chosen the Sheraton Philadelphia Society Hill Hotel simply because it was where the conference was being held — but I was excited to walk in and discover the hotel’s airy lobby and comfortable rooms. My room featured two double beds, a clean and bright bathroom and a writing desk.

The views from my room provided a glimpse of the Benjamin Franklin Bridge, which crosses the Delaware River. Of course, there was also the lovely site of rooftops, parking lots and  trees. But I can overlook that. Especially when the bed is as comfy as the one at this hotel was.

Recently renovated, the Philadelphia hotel is clean and well-maintained. Inside, a swimming pool and fitness center are available for guests. And the on-site restaurant Taste is worth a try (Hint: the Cheesesteak Egg Rolls with sriracha ketchup are worth every calorie).

Room rates: The nightly rate varies depending on the season of your trip, and the room you select. When I stayed in April, I paid $179 per night, plus taxes — though the cost can escalate from there.

Getting there: The Sheraton Philadelphia Society Hill Hotel is a short taxi-ride from the 30th Street Amtrak Train Station in Philadelphia. But you can also drive — however, be prepared to pay for valet parking, as it’s the only available parking at the hotel.

Overall: Between the convenience factor of the location of this Philadelphia hotel, and the clean, airy atmosphere, it’s definitely a place I would stay again.
